Val Kilmer (1958–2025) is widely celebrated as a brilliant actor, yet his expansive creative output reveals a true Renaissance spirit. In 2017, Woodward Gallery presented Valholla, Kilmer’s New York fine art debut, introducing audiences to a deeply personal and multidisciplinary visual practice. Today, the gallery continues to represent his work in collaboration with the Estate of Val Kilmer. The 2021 Amazon Prime film, VAL, is a raw and wildly original Documentary about his life, revealing how he lived life to the extremes, giving viewers a heart filled look at what it truly means to be an artist.
